Skyfall

Has the time come for the infamous man of mystery to rise up from the cinematic grave? Why yes. Yes, it has. James Bond is back again, aged, and a little worse for wear. I saw this movie a little over a month ago, and I can say that I'm rather content with it. Honestly, I wasn't engaged by Casino Royale as a whole, and I was beginning to think old school spy movies were truly gone to the days of olde. Thankfully, Skyfall has come about with interesting twists and turns.

Without giving too much away to those who haven't seen it, the movie has more realistic points and a new Quartermaster. James Bond's perspective is once again shifted as his newest threat is a combination of past and present, but it's not his past that he needs to worry about. Personally, I would give this movie a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. While I did enjoy the movie, I didn't walk out feeling pumped or highly impressed. Perhaps I am jaded by the many years and bouts of cinematic encounters, but I can admit that this, for me, was a step up from what has been produced in the latest movies. With a beautiful score and psychedelic opening, which is a throwback to many years of Bond, I can say that Skyfall is at least worth watching with friends.

☆ I would recommend this movie. (3.5/4 out of 5)

[S!] Photo Shipment | Stock Photos

Before we get too excited about the change of pace, let's focus on the topic at hand. The name is Photo Shipment, and the company sells 'free' stock photography. Why 'free'? Well, they sell royalty-free and rights managed images. The content is even downloadable (for a disposable price). They host everything in their e-commerce website, and a few stock images are presented on the front page as a preview.

Ecotools, a Cosmetic Review

Aren't unedited photos the best? Well, I'm here to talk about a brand that I've been trying to buy for about six months now. Probably even longer than that. The name is ecotools, and this product I own is the six piece bamboo brush set. Very eco friendly. ecotools boasts about earth-friendly beauty. The brushes in this pack of earth-friendliness involves:
  • soft, cruelty-free bristles
  • natural & recycled materials
  • convenient cosmetic bag
This will be a rather lengthy review with a few pictures.

Lulu.Com | Publisher Review.

For those who do not, I fancy myself a writer. When I was younger, I aspired to be a writer, and that's one of the 'goals' I've had that has stayed true. I wasn't very good at what I did, but I was determined to get out there in the field. I never got the chance to get anything published, but as a high school student, I finally set myself down to look for a publisher. Though it would be another two years until I put something up for publication, I found my place at Lulu.com.

Lulu.com is an online publishing company that welcomes writers of all kinds to use their services. They've come a ways since I first used them, but the changes have been nothing but positive.

[S!] Influenster | Review

I've received a new sponsor that I've been working with for about two weeks now. I haven't received any products from them as of yet. However, I'm actually really interested in what they have to offer. Without using photographs, I'll explain how and why this affiliate captured my attention.

I won't lie when I say I'm attracted to something free. When I heard of this place, I looked into the stipulations of what it takes to get something "free", so to say. This site appeals to people who love to review and share their opinions. Partaking in their badge programme really helps one's chances of getting sample products.

The site grants you the ability to be social by connecting your social network accounts (Google+, YouTube, Facebook, etc) through your profile, which is your home base. You can invite people from your profile, unlock expert badges, and the site even gives you a "plan of attack" that gives you a list of things to do based on which badge you're pursing.

Now badges, what are badges? Badges are broken up into categories and essentially communities. You can have as many badges as you want unlocked, and there are four main different types to choose from: Expert, LifeStage, VoxBox, and Brand. There are so many different dimensions to explore, and I'm still just a beginner.

As things are now, I don't have many things to say about the dynamics of the site. I'm still in the introductory phase myself, and I'm rather smitten by what I see thus far. This site really lets people explore their personal interests, and I'm going to explore mine all the same.

If you're interested in Influenster, please go check it out yourself.

Rise of the Guardians

This movie came out, and there was a lot of hype about the main protagonist, Jack Frost. Knowing that public opinion can flip flop or some people are overly enthusiastic, I do as I always do: ignore them all. I was interested by the trailers (which were mostly shown online as far as I've seen), and I am always a fan of DreamWorks productions. Taking a chance, my friend and I saw the movie for ourselves.

Whatever hype that had built up with the movie is truly worth it. It seems that most children movies now really hit deep and hard, waking us adults up to the childlike wonder we've forgotten or moved on from. RotG balances so many things that makes it a family movie. It's a little sad at times, so don't worry if you choke up with a few tears.

I would definitely recommend this movie. (5 out of 5)

Domain Issues.

For some reason, the custom domain had stopped working. I wasn't really sure of this occurrence, because I had been so busy lately. So it's back to using the default Blogger URL until things get settled.

Be sure to access the blog's official URL (kingdomoferised.blogspot.com). It will be this way for some time until things pan out, one way or another. Sorry for the lack of updates, expect more soon.

Cheers.

“FIGHTER” Album Release.

╭┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅╮

disclaimer: this review is done of my own accord.

╰┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅╯

Wesley Avery has released a free album called “FIGHTER”. It came out on September 18th, and it's pretty impressive. The album overall has a hip hop, rock, and dance ambiance to it. These three elements flow together, creating a harmonious album. Wesley has created numerous videos over the past three years, first starting off creating beats. Currently, the album doesn't have many views, but there are people taking an interest in it.

Recommended tracks would be track two "INFxCTED" and track eight "Stars are Falling feat. Arty Fresha".

Be sure to check out the 'FIGHTER' EP on Wesley's YouTube and send your support to his Facebook page.

SnackWebsites

Let's try something new, shall we? There's this web site called SnackWebsites that I don't remember signing up for. I actually didn't sign up for it; it's a subcreation of SnackTools, which I used for setting up music on an old tumblr account. Liking Snack Tools' service, I decided to give this web creation system a try and see what it was about.

FancyPocket Singapore

FancyPocket Singapore is a small online store selling accessories and occasionally costumes and apparel. I can't remember when I first stumbled upon the site, but I've been shopping there for years. The items are shipped in a bubble wrapped package and is delivered in amazing condition. One of my most notable purchases has been a cross cuff earrings.

However, don't go in expecting to stumble upon miracle wear. There are some minor issues with the products. For instance, my cuff earring is unbearably tight on my ear lobe, and adjusting is not much of an option as I don't want to ruin the accessory itself. That being said, I'm still incredibly happy with my purchase. especially for the low prices. What can be said is that this shop is truly a find. The customer service is nothing short of polite.

The web site itself is cute and welcoming. The top banner is oftentimes mismatch, but that almost adds to the charm of the site. As of today, I checked the site for the first time in almost a year, and the site is down. I'm not sure when it will come back online, but I will try to stay updated on its status.

Corel Painter 12 [Trial]

Let's talk about Corel Painter 12. I've heard about the Corel Painter program, but I never got to look for it myself. I had the trial myself, and I'm extremely happy with it. I was actually pretty happy with the program itself. The dimensions were just a bit larger than my laptop, so some windows were cut off. Only slightly, however. It didn't take away from the experience at all.

There are an insane amount of categories, such as art style brush, blur, crayon, airbrush, and so on. The art style category is has different painterly influences, such as Impressionist. Blur has different brushes such as hard, round shape, oval shape, and so on. The canvas itself can be changed. The background can be changed into a different texture like paper or a different patter like zig zag.

There are many things to do with CP12, and I had a great time experimenting with it. Be sure to try the thirty trial and experience it for yourself.

I would recommend this product.

Benjamin Moore

Long ago, I found a web site that worked as a 3D simulator to build and design rooms. The site that I found helped college students plan out their prospective room. It was an amazing site and was really fun and simple to use. It's been a few years since I last found the site, but I decided to go on a hunt for something similar.

What I found was a site with a section called the “Personal Color Viewer”, and there are several options to choice from. The user has the ability to browse previous collections, learn about color basics, upload photos, and save/load progress. With the color basics option, a new window pops up and displays a colour wheel. There are tabs and subsections to choose from and browse. The colour wheel is actually pretty fun to use. Be sure to play around and do a little more research with the Color Basics option.

The sample browser is extremely organized with breathtaking interiors. Selecting on a category (bathroom, bedroom, etc.) brings the user to several subcategories and themes. Upon choosing a theme, a design breakdown appears, complete with swatches and room preview. Painting a room virtually has never been so interesting. It’s really easy to use with many colour combinations and styles to choose from.

Registering with the site allows you to browse and save favourites throughout the course of the web site, and of course, it allows you to save progress on the PCV. Definitely worth checking out and exploring for oneself. This site is very useful for interior designers, writers, artists, and anyone who could possibly find a use from this place. Don’t forget to register and browse the entire Benjamin Moore website.

Use the BM "Personal Colour Viewer".

I would recommend visiting and using this site/resource.

Let's Watch: "Tekken: Blood Vengeance".

That was a great movie. Honestly, I was blown away.

First of all, they did something amazing by utilizing their graphics the way the did. It's "3D", but not in the marketing way that it is today. It's 3D animation, and I could not have been more impressed. Everything was smooth and flawless. The acting? Ah, superb.

L.A. Colors Review

L.A. Colors is a product that appears in several stores namely beauty supplies and Dollar Generals. I own two other colours by them. However, the white seemed to fall lax. In an extreme sort of way, from what I have experienced.

The name of the polish is Energy Source. The application is smooth, and I put on perhaps two coats of it when I noticed a problem. It doesn’t apply very well and clumps up when layered. The more layers that are added (I had to make four layers for a design), the clumpier it looks. It’s overall unflattering and looks similar to white out, which, funnily enough, I have applied on my nails in the past (stupidly, as a kid) and have had better results with. Because of this, I won’t use this polish again.

I would advise others to be wary of this product. I do not recommend it.

dots Lip Gloss Review.

Today, I'll be doing a review on the lip gloss sold at dots fashion store.
