The Xbox One to Destroy Them All

Everyone and their mother is talking about the Xbox One for good reason. I won't go into the details myself, but here's my ultimate review of it. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it, for a long list of reasons. I'm going to hit the high points that rang out to me during the presentation.

- Xbox One has no intention of being backwards compatible
For me, that ruins it damn near automatically. Within the first two generations, some consoles have been backwards compatible and then stopped or weren't backwards compatible and changed to be so. Xbox One has no intention whatsoever of being backwards compatible. President of Microsoft’s Xbox Division Don Mattrick calls it "backwards thinking". Oooh, man.

You're Such a DollDelight.

I know that I've been pretty underground lately. Trust me, I've been receiving a lot of stuff lately, but I won't be reviewing them for some time. The weather is unrelenting for some of these reviews, wah. But while you wait, I want to tell you about Cyril Lumboy from dolldelight.com.

Here she is, modeling one of her own designs.

She is a talented, sweet person who I've had the grace of talking to. Her ability to create different styles and coordinate different looks made me very interested in her! I can't remember how I originally found her, but I'm very fond of artisans, especially designers and costume makers. She fits that bill perfectly, ranging from full dresses to simple accessories.

She has a number of sponsors, one of her most notable being Romwe. Despite this, this works hard in making her own designs and in promoting herself. I like that sort of tenacity in people, man. Romwe. Once upon a time, I tried to get under their wing. It just wasn't meant to be, younger me. Not meant to be.

Currently, her activities include attending FanimeCon. She'll be hosting a panel there and hosting a fashion show. Be sure to give her your support, and remember, tell her GDR sent you.

She even has a StoreEnvy for those interested.

Let's Go Local: Gentry Shop Formal Wear

So I finally did it. I went and got my measurements taken—for men. Oh thank goodness. Because I have a small build, it makes it damn near impossible for me to buy clothes online without doing an extreme amount of converting from US to Chinese or Korean sizes, so I mostly just do my shopping at a thrift store or a Burlington's. And even then, I have to eyeball the clothes because I can never be too sure what fits right.

But now, I understand. I finally have a serious and detailed male sizing for me. And it's all thanks to Gentry Shop Formal Wear.

eBay Get! Mens Business Leather Wallet

eBay has become my haven once again. As I've said in my last review, I've taken an interest in buying things again, and this is one of the few things I've bought. Okay, maybe not "few", but. I've been in the market for a new wallet (as I've said before), and I managed to snag this bad boy for $5.99 (+ $1.99 shipping). I've had it for about a week or so now. I'm still rather infatuated with it, honestly.

GDR Book Club. The False Prince

This isn't something I plan to make a regular series, but I have tonnes of books to read these days. I'm glad for it. It gets me off the computer for a while and gives me a decent amount of mental stimulation. One of the books I enjoyed was one I bought last year while I was living in Indianapolis, and it's called The False Prince.

The False Prince is about three orphans taken up by a conniving nobleman to exact a plan laced in treason and struggle. The story is written mostly from the point of view of a ruffian named Sage who makes life difficult for Connor, the nobleman, along the way.
regret not reading this book faster and enjoying it when I initially started. It really came around for me. Don't get me wrong; it didn't start poorly at all. It had a decent building pace, and I rather like Sage, even though he is incredibly difficult and even insufferable at times. Sage, as a character, is well rounded, and the story itself is well written. There are some typical moments and twists, but they're executed in such a way that the tropes seem fresh.

eBay Get! Leather Wrap Pen Case

I've been on eBay a lot these past few months, and I've only taken an interest in buying things again as of late. I've been trying to replace my wallet and my pencil pouches something fierce, and those are the main reasons I've even taken interest in perusing the many wares hidden in every corner of eBay.

This pretty one caught my eye, and I was happy to buy it at the low low price of $3.99—actually, I was really happy. It was a good move, I believe, and while the shipping was a little slower than what I was used to, I was pretty excited to have it in my hands.
