Rotatio: Just Keep Spinning
Let's talk about this new game I'm really into. It's called, very simply, Rotatio.
I'm always in the market for more mobile games. I'm always wandering around with my iPad, and I have a terrible case of idle hands. I think I found a game that's frustratingly good enough to keep me occupied.
The game is very simple. You just need to pass your ball through each gap to clear the stage. The catch to that is that the ball moves pretty quickly. There are balls on either side of the gap that will cause you to fail if you touch them. Even if you pass them, they linger for a second or two, so be careful not to hit them during this time as well.

App: PEAK
It's been a while since I gave you guys an app recommendation, and the sad thing is that I've had this sitting and waiting since January. You have no idea how long I've been
I've been trying to get more use out of my iPad these years. Since I've gotten my [semi-defunct] smartphone, I haven't been giving it the attention it deserves. I still use it for a few games (like Blendoku) or crying over the fact that SYMPHONIA no longer works. But I shall cry no more, because I've added PEAK into my ranks.

Holiday Cheer: Mobile App Cheer
I know that I've been away, but I'm actually back in Savannah for a bit, chilling out and enjoying my holidays. So Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy-I-Hope-You're-Doing-Well-This-Season. I wanted to throw some apps at you that I've downloaded and enjoyed this entire year. If you've heard of them, great and pass them on! If not, I hope that you can benefit from the enjoyment they offer in their own ways.
‣ BLENDOKU.
This is like sudoku for colours. This game helps me see colours better; sometimes the changes are so minute that it might take a bit of time to figure it all out. You're compared against the world average speed and if you can solve a single puzzle perfectly without any mistakes. Available for Apple and Android devices.
Download from App Store. Download from Google Play.
‣ CRUEL JEWELS.
Has a similar set up to Bejeweled, but it comes in different modes and stages. There's a voice over that narrates your score type: Brilliant, Marvelous, Absurd, Preposterous, and Inconceivable. The music is very calming and catchy. If you're just in it to spend time, playing the Continuous mode is a good way to go. Available only on Apple devices.
Download from App Store.
‣ WORD STRIKE.
You're given four hints, and you have to spell the one word that's similar between all of them. Created by Ticbits who also made a Mahjong app, which I would highly recommend playing. Both available only for Apple devices.
Download from App Store. Download Mahjong from App Store.
‣ TETRIS BLITZ.
Just a rendition of a lifelong favourite. The concept is the same, but it comes with incredible power-ups as well. So if anything, this is probably one of the apps that I plays the most. Available for both Apple and Android devices.
Download from App Store. Download from Google Play.
And that's all from me, I think. I know this is a late post, but it would have been earlier if it wasn't for the fact that we made dinner for so long! I hope you guys are having a good week, and I'll try to have more posts of actual note this season. If not, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

iPad App: App Icons
Let me quickly preface all of this by saying that I wish I could get my money back.
When I first saw the listing, it was $1.99, but when you click the actual link, it comes up as $3.99; I'm not sure why. ($1.99 Google vs $3.99 iTunes).
Below, I've decided to give my thoughts and a descriptive overview of the application, and why it would just be better off saving your money.

App: Boat Browser
I wanted to give a little personality to my Android phone. So I decided, "Hey, why not a new browser?". I didn't want Opera or Chrome. I wanted to think outside my browser safe zone; I was in the mood to be risky. After a few suggestions on mobile browsers for Android, I came across Boat Browser. The icon, shamefully enough, was cute and aesthetically stylized enough for me to go for it. I have honestly yet to regret the decision.
I almost flipped when I found out I could take screenshots of my browser screen. Finally, no more wishing and waiting on my end. I'm sure there was an app I could have downloaded to make that option easily accessible to me, but lemme tell you: it was far from my mind; only a passing want.
I don't regularly surf the net on my phone anymore as I really only text and use my service provided GPS (bad idea), but I'm glad to have such a neat and versatile mobile browser. If you want Boat Browser, it's available for free at the Google Play Store.

Minecraft Mobile
(courtesy of pocketgamer)
And here is my first post of the new year! How great that it turns out to be about a game. Today, I was standing in a Verizon store waiting to talk to a clerk. After perusing their wares, I walked over to the iPhone 5. Comparing it to the iPhone 4S, it's not as gargantuan as I expected. The cons aren't nearly as bad as they seem, but that's neither here nor there.
While messing around with their iPhone 5, I noticed that there was a Minecraft app installed. I had to play it. It was a lot of fun. The app is officially called Minecraft - Pocket Edition, and is also available for Android phones. Working the navigation with your left thumb, you can move straight forward or sidestep, but by swiping with the right thumb, you can rotate and turn. To harvest, press and hold down on a target. It's fun to move around and easy to get invested. Honestly, I would download it onto my phone (if I had the space). There is a catch. The price tag for this app is $6.99.
Go download Minecraft - Pocket Edition at the iTunes and Google Play Store.
