Smooth Criminals: Persona 5

Oh, hey. Long time no shouting about video games. I'm sure that you all have heard the hype about Persona 5. And you guessed it: I'm going to bring it here as well. This isn't really a review, and it's partly a first impression.

Okay, let me address something really quickly. I'm sure that I hardly have to really say anything about it, but "You are a slave. Want emancipation?" I, uhm. Hm? Hm... Okay.

Moving on.

There are a lot of theories going on about the game so far. One of the things that I'm excited to see how these main characters are more like anti-heroes instead of the more virtuous sort we've gotten used to. The Phantom - the main character - hinges between cool and collected (of couse) and manic. I'm so excited to see how this develops. There is a lot of blond going on between the two companions, rumoured to be named, Anzu and Ryuji. It's hard to judge how they might be, but I have a few "please don't be like this" things on my mind. Morgana is a shapeshifting cat who basically turns into a bobblehead. Are you ready for this, because let me tell you something: I so am.

There are a couple of things that have led me to have my own personal theories. One of them being the "co-op" feature on the menu. I'm not necessarily thinking if this is a local team option between you and your friends (though that would be interesting). I'm wondering if this shows your relationships with your social links and how they could affect your heists/Dark Hour adventures.

Another thing that has me curious is less supported. I wonder how the seven deadly sins (specficially Luxuria) can come into play throughout the game or in different characters -- or even the Shadows themselves. While I am big on speculation, I want to see where this can go, and I'm looking forward to more trailers.

The promotion so far has gotten a lot of us pumped for this game. I'm expecting some good things out of it. The characters have an actual devil may care attitude that's really got my interest. How about you? Persona isn't everybody's series, but I think there's something to love in this installment. I'm on the lookout for more. If you're riding the Persona hype wagon or if you're just watching it glide by, I'd love o know what you're thinking.

GDR.はカワイイ日本の居住者?!

Okay, so not quite. A little misleading information, but in a way, it's still true. I've become a resident for Fukuoka city's newest ward, Kawaii-ku (カワイイ区). The interesting thing about it is that this is a ward that exists purely and solely online. As of writing this, they have 41'712 members. With me being the newest one! I'm sorry; it's just very exciting.

Now why am I a Kawaii-ku resident? I learned about it because of Micaela, a Canadian vlogger who lives in Japan, specifically in Fukuoka. Recently, she was elected mayor of Kawaii-ku, and wants to spread the meaning of Kawaii throughout the world. Now, you can go to the official web site and learn more about it. Right now, there aren't many features to being an international resident, but I still think it's very cool. And so I decided to join the mission as it's something I believe in and is led by someone I enjoy and believe in as well.

Head on over to the Kawaii-ku official web site to learn more.

Important GDR Changes.

Due to unsatisfactory services with our current server, we're in the midst of moving many things over to a new email account. If you're currently an affiliate with us, wish to be, or so on, please contact us only at crowbased☆gmail.com. We'll still be accessing the other email account to properly redirect others.

While Gmail doesn't have the same flare or je ne sais quoi to it as null.net, we're willing to forego aesthetic cleverness and flow for the sake of functionality. Thank you so much for the understanding.

Creative Spark?

I have déjà vecu like crazy, especially when it comes to me blogging here, but I'm going to put up an update.

I wrote about it on my OHP, but I've gotten into crafting envelopes. As of writing this, I think I've made about twenty or twenty-five? I only have pictures of a few of them right now. I can't seem to get into the grove of taking photos of them. And since I feel like I might want to sell them in the future, I honestly might have to think about it. Here's a couple of pictures from one of the bunches I've made. It's been a while ride.

We Live!

I've been hard at work for a year or so dragging myself up by my britches to work on this. I'm pleased to say that my network is up on the go. Crow Based Network is a multifaceted hub that serves as a directory and personal home page. I'm excited to finally let this bad boy loose and put myself out in the world. My world, my rules.

Please join me on this journey as I'm ready to rip roar and let it go.

January is Movie Month.

Well, not really, but that's how it feels. So far I have three movies under my belt and one I plan on seeing in the near future. Chances of me reviewing these all at once, I'm not quite sure. I might be doing this on a weekly basis or something like that. Anyway, the movies I have listed to talk about (possibly/ maybe/ looks that way) are:

  • Fast Five Extended Edition DVD ( a personal favourite )
  • The Woman in Black ( another late seer, and absolutely terrifying )
  • Summer Wars ( did someone say anime? )
  • Hansel & Gretel ( going to see it after my birthday )

And those are the top four movies that I will possibly/maybe/more than likely talk about in some given time period. I was going to review this restaurant in Atlanta, but I haven't been since late November (also there was going to be a hotel review). So, I will just power through with whatever I manage to scrape up these days, keheh. Let's just call it quality.

I'll see you soon.

Domain Issues.

For some reason, the custom domain had stopped working. I wasn't really sure of this occurrence, because I had been so busy lately. So it's back to using the default Blogger URL until things get settled.

Be sure to access the blog's official URL (kingdomoferised.blogspot.com). It will be this way for some time until things pan out, one way or another. Sorry for the lack of updates, expect more soon.

Cheers.
