Return From Savannah

Savannah was an amazing trip. I had a lot of fun, and I got to kick back for a while and try out new projects. In that time, I collected a lot of my thoughts and got a good, hard look at how things are going with my life right now.

That being said, I wanted to update on one of the posts that I made. The eyeliners I swatched for the makeup post I did last time lasted quite a while. The Wet and Wild liners lasted two or so days longer (after showers, numerous hand washings, rain, etc), and the Ulta lasted the same amount, plus a few hours. The Avon one, my Spectra Define, lasted three and a half days longer when it was all said and done.

I was trying to get a semi-decent look of everything. Not sure if you can quite see the Avon line there. Everything else (the three Wild and Crazy and the Ulta liners) are incredibly light/completely gone. This was an unintentional experiment. I just couldn't be bothered to remove them shortly after the review, but I am amazed at their staying power.

The ULTA-mate Combo

Pixelmator's gone. I feel as though I lost a part of myself, but instead of moping, I shall forge steady on and tell you about this lovely I got from ULTA. I also got a kohl eye liner pencil for about $1, and I have never loved a pencil more. Unfortunately, I can't necessarily use it for my eyebrows, but that's later on in the review.

They were selling a lot of things for $5 and under—single eye shadows, lip and eyebrow pencils, etc etc. I think this single shadow right here cost me $2 so I was happy to get this.

e.l.f. is for [l]ips

Now that our eyes have a bit more eleganza to them, we can trail a little lower and give our lips some attention as well. I've picked up two different types of products: lip balm (oho) and lipstick. Here they are in their original packaging. Very nice, sleek, and uniform. The lipstick (far right) package is a little unassuming and plain (which necessarily isn't a bad thing).

I finally broke my chain of brightly coloured lip products, though it does feel funny to break the trend. This product review comes to you a little later in the day due to some fortunate series of events. However, I can't divulge exactly what that is yet, maybe in a few month's time. With that said, let's jump right into it.

e.l.f. is for: [e]yes

As stated before in my e.l.f. preview, I am no stranger to this brand. I remember when I first when in search of cosmetics that would show nicely on my eyes (which are so heavily lidded) and also against my skin tone which is a nice mocha colour. And out of the other eye shadows I have purchased from e.l.f., this 100 palette is definitely in the winner's circle.

This 100 palette has a very nice and simple packaging with the eyes lips face faceplate on its front. The words printed across the faceplate get lost depending on angle. That doesn't subtract from the appeal in fact, to me, it only adds to it. Now let's cut to the inside, shall we?

Santa's All Season e.l.f.

A couple of weeks ago, I received my birthday package from e.l.f cosmetics. I'm a big fan of e.l.f, and I don't often buy their products online. I hardly find enough money to cover the $6 shipping, ahaha. Sad on my part, but the good thing is you can still buy a few of their items at a local K-mart. BUT! That all changed for a short while, and I'm glad for it, you know. 

I've never received a package this large from e.l.f before. I actually didn't know it was from them. The box isn't decorated in anyway; it's off-white all the way around aside from the shipping decal. Opening the box was much of the same, no decoration, just this sort of beige packaging paper on the inside. Thankfully, all of my items were packed in tight. Nothing was broken, altered, or anything like that. So I can easily forgive bland packaging. As long as my things are sent to me without a problem, then there's no reason for fuss.

You can easily see one (or maybe two) of the items I have so far, but I'm only going to unravel them slowly! Ahaha, I want to talk about these products the right way. I already have the first three set up for you. It's all about getting it written down now, so stay tuned and look forward to it.

Ecotools, a Cosmetic Review

Aren't unedited photos the best? Well, I'm here to talk about a brand that I've been trying to buy for about six months now. Probably even longer than that. The name is ecotools, and this product I own is the six piece bamboo brush set. Very eco friendly. ecotools boasts about earth-friendly beauty. The brushes in this pack of earth-friendliness involves:

• soft, cruelty-free bristles
• natural & recycled materials
• convenient cosmetic bag

This will be a rather lengthy review with a few pictures.
